What will this new breed of ultra right wing conservatives declare war on next? I am going to be bold and predict this: Health care coverage for Sickle Cell Disease. Watch the one minute clip below before you read any further.
Seems far fetched, doesn’t it? Would the GOP be so blatantly racist? To be honest, I don’t think racism will have anything to do with it. For you see, the strategy being put forth by the GOP is quite simple. It has unfolded for the last three years or so. It is a very concentrated effort. Pin point. What they are doing is going after any and every group, one by one, that doesn’t vote Republican. Don’t think so? Let us examine this further.
Kasich, Walker, Christie, etc etc. When they entered office we saw an obvious attack on unions. Disguised of course as “budgetary measures”. But we know better than that. As these far right conservatives took from the hard working middle class union workers, they gave that taken money right over to big corporations in the form of corporate welfare. They demonized firefighters, police, paramedics, teachers, postal workers, and the list goes on and on. Tell me where I’m wrong on this. I dare you.
Watch the next clip from Fox News. Even they see the truth:
As the war on unions and public workers continues, we also witnessed an attack on undocumented workers, illegal aliens, border jumpers, or whatever else you want to call them. I like to just call them, humans. But that’s just me. I’m crazy like that. But getting back to the task at hand. Why was this done? This was done for a couple reasons. First it was to lather up the base. Nothing gets the base worked up like someone who could live in their own neighborhood, stealing from them. That is how they envision it. Second reason is that its just a payoff. A payoff to the private prisons who lobbied for said law. Yes. Private, for profit companies to run prisons. How do you turn a profit off of prisons? Why you ensure you have a good supply of prisoners. Enter the new Arizona Immigration Law. And lastly, we have the most sinister reason. To lay doubt in people’s minds about voting. That is right. Make it seem that people are here illegally and the reason they are here is because the Democrats want them here. Want them here so they can get their vote! Which sets our next attack by the GOP.
The attack on voting rights. I am quite honestly getting tired of explaining to people how the “Voter Fraud” problem that everyone talks about, pretty much doesn’t exist. Unless you count a handful of idiots who vote at the wrong place or fill out a form wrong. But there is no plot, no illegal votes swaying elections. No people being bused in from other districts swaying elections. No dead people’s votes deciding the elections. It is just not happening. Or, so says a study fronted by the Bush Administration: HERE But this tactic is nothing new. It has just evolved. Here is a sampling from a piece describing voter fraud in March of 2007:
{A belief in rampant voter fraud in Democratic strongholds — big cities, minority neighborhoods — is widespread among Republicans, and claims of vote buying and the like have long been a mainstay of GOP rhetoric. The party has used these claims of voter fraud to help build public support for what it considers electoral reforms, like requiring voters to show photo ID — reforms that also tend to suppress Democratic turnout on Election Day.
During the Bush administration, a rhetorical tool became public policy. The Republicans could not get a photo ID law through the Senate, but they were able to enlist the 93 United States attorneys in their crusade against voter fraud. In 2002, then-Attorney General John Ashcroft announced an initiative that required “all components of the [Justice] Department” to “place a high priority on the investigation and prosecution of election fraud.”} The full piece can be found HERE (sidenote: those interested in learning a bit more about voter suppression should check this out HERE
So let us go over what we have covered so far: War on Unions. War on brown people. War on voting rights. Let’s see….what did I miss. Oh yeah, the war on women! We have had the attempt to defund Planned Parenthood. A non profit that provides much needed care to women. From breast cancer screenings to pap smears. Oh, and they do abortions from time to time. “Over 90% of what they do is abortions” according to Sen. Jon Kyl. Of course he was way, way, way off. But facts don’t matter in todays brand of politics. Kyl story HERE. We have also watched as places like Virginia who wanted to “vaginally probe a woman” before she was allowed to have an abortion. Just watch below:
Add to that this fake uproar about employer coverage of birth control and we have a recipe for some pissed off women. But why attack women’s rights? It isn’t going to get those women to vote for them? Why do this at all if you’re the GOP? Why pick this fight? Two words. Religious Right. The Religious Right has been voting faithfully (pun intended) for the GOP for decades now. Always being promised that once elected, they would overturn Roe v. Wade. Of course never delivering. This whole “War on Women” we are seeing…it is just a way to pacify the Religious Right. To show them that their vote is not being wasted. To stick by them! They have their back. Nothing more. Nothing less. Because we all know that Roe v. Wade will never be tackled seriously by the GOP. Ever. Never. Not going to happen.
So do I think the Republican Party doesn’t like hard working people in the unions? Do I think the Republican Party despises brown people? Does the great and powerful crap4face, the Undisputed Heavyweight Champ of Politics, think that the GOP do not want Americans to have equal access to the right to vote and women to have birth control or abortions? Actually, no to all of them. except the “Brown people” one. Still on the fence about that. But seriously…the only reason we are seeing these so called ”Wars” being waged, is that these people tend to vote Democrat. That is all. The Republican Party is not trying to win these people’s votes over by treating them like a six pack of crap. Rather they are trying to disenfranchise them. Make it so that union guy who pulls 60 hour work weeks to make ends meet might just start questioning why he even votes. Why he even bothers to vote for a Democrat. because after all, we have a Dem as Commander in Chief and he has been virtually silent during this assault on labor. The GOP is trying to make it so that elderly person concerned with tho possible privatization of Medicare and Social Security will find it tougher to vote. They are also doing this to keep the Republican base happy and faithful.
Keep their usual votes coming in at the same rate and just decrease the other sides vote. Don’t improve your position. Just impede theirs. Where I come from, that’s called dirty pool. But what do we do? What does a voter do in this instance? I’m open to suggestions? By the way, I wasn’t serious about the GOP taking on Sickle Cell Health Care next. Unless they do. Then I was.
Email me at crap4facepolitics@gmail.com or just comment below. Thanks. Enjoy Stevie Ray Vaughn- Dirty Pool as you let this marinade.
With this recent ”outrage” by the Catholic Church and GOP over the HHS Mandate, I thought we would look deeper into federal dollars being spent on religion.
I just don’t get it. I don’t get the outrage. These religious organizations get federal money. So why should they be exempt from following federal laws? Maybe we should just take the whole Faith Based Initiative away? Talk about blurring the line between state and church! Faith Based Initiative Info HERE
Do you think it would be okay for these businesses to not hire someone because they are gay? Would it be okay to not hire someone because they are divorced? How about not hiring someone because they are not a Christian. Not a Muslim? Because wouldn’t that also violate the churches beliefs? Its principles?
Why is it okay for Christians/Catholics to have their own “Sharia Law” yet warn us of Sharia coming from those spooky MOOOOOOZLIMS all the time. I think my boy Dean Obeidallah laid it out pretty nicely HERE.
I mean, I can’t take the uproar from the GOP seriously. This is the group of people that trumpeted, over 46% of the people in America pay no Federal taxes and they can’t complain about a system until they pay into it. Their favorite talking point is, “They need to have some skin in the game!” So why do churches pay absolutely ZERO POINT ZERO in taxes, yet seem to have the loudest voice and be virtually untouchable? Is it time for Churches to have a litttle skin in the game too?
I don’t know. I’m asking you, the readers. Email me at crap4facepolitics@gmail.com and give me your most concise reasons and I will put them up on the site.
In the meantime, enjoy Dick Morris being “OUTRAGED” over Federal dollars possibly going to a mosque being built next to a strip club, near Ground Zero:
Also take time to watch your Federal dollars at work. Churches handing out food to the 47% the GOP so loathes. The poor, the elderly, the handicapped. All these lucky recipients of “free money” have to do is sit through a sermon or three. Talk about stepping all over freedom of religion!
Remember, email me your reasons churches are tax exempt and why they should be. Not shouldn’t. But why they should be. I will put them up on the site tonight. crap4facepolitics@gmail.com
The Super Bowl or something is right now. I don’t give a fuck. I hate the Super Bowl. I hate the commercials. I hate the people who discuss them like they matter. Commercials are bullshit. More reason for computers to take the place of CEOs. What am I talking about? This:
Why do companies spend millions on research to replace workers? Why do companies spend millions and millions building huge machines to do the work of humans? Machines to take the place of bank tellers. Machines to take the place of cashiers. Machines to assemble cars. The list goes on and on.
If a company is really interested in making money and be sustainable, wouldn’t it make more sense to build robots to replace white collar workers? After all, I can’t recall a story of any person working on an assembly line, bankrupting their company. I mean, it wasn’t the janitors at Enron who cost shareholders 11 billion dollars! ENRON SCANDAL INFO CLICK HERE Did I miss something or did some laborer make Worldcom file for bankruptcy and cost shareholders close to a hundred billion dollars? WORLDCOM SCANDAL INFO CLICK HERE
Did I miss something here? Was the Great Depression the work of the wrench turners? GREAT DEPRESSION INFO CLICK HERE Oh, wait! I got one! Bernie Madoff must have been a member of IBEW and climbed telephone poles for a living! No? Damn. Another white collar, non clock punching, no callous handed, douchebag who costs people billions! MADOFF SCANDAL CLICK HERE Must be the housing market I’m thinking of. Clearly the fault of the middle class laborers! No? REAL CAUSE OF HOUSING BUBBLE CLICK HERE
So all of these things have come and some what gone. But just look at the carnage left in their path. Wouldn’t it just be way easier to create a computer that does the work of white collar workers? After all, the machine(s) will not have to be that big. Some of the machines that do the work of blue collar workers weigh tons! A machine to do the work of a white collar worker? Pretty sure it would be the size of a normal, everyday PC. Seriously. Just cram it in a broom closet. All one would have to do is program this “Virtual CEO” to do is this: USE LOGIC. That is it. If you did that, no way in hell would the ‘Virtual CEO” choose to ship jobs over seas or to replace laborers with machines. After all, the less people being paid good money in the population…the less people to buy your products.
Thats a whole lot of money being spent on people that could easily be replaced by a computer. On that same note: That is a whole lot people being paid far too little.
Oh, speaking of money. Guess how much money would be saved by replacing white collar workers with robots? Below is a graph on how much that could be saved on an average CEO. Take all those hundreds of millions saved and use it to….I don’t know? Maybe….pay workers a tad bit more!
Imagine not having to pay one person a couple hundred million dollars a year? Who may or may not run your company right into the ground! Well you can...with the "Virtual CEO" that will never be invented! Because rich people run the show. They are too busy trying to replace people who sweat for a living!
Maybe after we replace CEOs, the next step will be replacing Wall Street traders. After being replaced, I’m sure they would have no trouble finding a new job on an assembly line or perhaps as a mason. I’m sure he would be a model worker. All that energy and all. Plus I’m sure he would be a hit with his fellow workers who punch a clock and actually produce things for a living. After all, who can forget this letter from a Trader in Chicago to the people of the Occupy movement.
BE WARNED: IT REEKS OF DOUCHEBAGGERY
If the typing is too small for you on the letter…here it is:
We are Wall Street. It’s our job to make money. Whether it’s a commodity, stock, bond, or some hypothetical piece of fake paper, it doesn’t matter. We would trade baseball cards if it were profitable. I didn’t hear America complaining when the market was roaring to 14,000 and everyone’s 401k doubled every 3 years. Just like gambling, its not a problem until you lose. I’ve never heard of anyone going to Gamblers Anonymous because they won too much in Vegas.
Well now the market crapped out, & even though it has come back somewhat, the government and the average Joes are still looking for a scapegoat. God knows there has to be one for everything. Well, here we are.
Go ahead and continue to take us down, but you’re only going to hurt yourselves. What’s going to happen when we can’t find jobs on the Street anymore? Guess what: We’re going to take yours. We get up at 5am & work until 10pm or later. We’re used to not getting up to pee when we have a position. We don’t take an hour or more for a lunch break. We don’t demand a union. We don’t retire at 50 with a pension. We eat what we kill, and when the only thing left to eat is on your dinner plates, we’ll eat that.
For years teachers and other unionized labor have had us fooled. We were too busy working to notice. Do you really think that we are incapable of teaching 3rd graders and doing landscaping? We’re going to take your cushy jobs with tenure and 4 months off a year and whine just like you that we are so-o-o-o underpaid for building the youth of America. Say goodbye to your overtime, and double time and a half. I’ll be hitting grounders to the high school baseball team for $5k extra a summer, thank you very much.
So now that we’re going to be making $85k a year without upside, Joe Mainstreet is going to have his revenge, right? Wrong! Guess what: we’re going to stop buying the new 80k car, we aren’t going to leave the 35 percent tip at our business dinners anymore. No more free rides on our backs. We’re going to landscape our own back yards, wash our cars with a garden hose in our driveways. Our money was your money. You spent it. When our money dries up, so does yours.
The difference is, you lived off of it, we rejoiced in it. The Obama administration and the Democratic National Committee might get their way and knock us off the top of the pyramid, but it’s really going to hurt like hell for them when our fat a**es land directly on the middle class of America and knock them to the bottom.
We aren’t dinosaurs. We are smarter and more vicious than that, and we are going to survive. The question is, now that Obama & his administration are making Joe Mainstreet our food supply…will he? and will they?”
So next time you see no line at the self checkout: Walk away and go to a cashier. If that cashier happens to be the dick who wrote that letter to the people of Occupy? Shake his hand and tell him that you’re glad to see he is finally going to EARN his money.
I hope this continues to happen. I hope it happens to all….I said ALL politicians that put profits before people. That worry more about corporate interests instead of public interests.
Recently I learned a lesson. I learned that the progressives in media either don’t know how to win or do not even want to win. That is the only way I can explain it. With all that is happening right out in the public for all to see….yet the left can not even take advantage of it. As the right-wing echo chamber whips up their base to support the demonizing of public workers. Such as teachers, firemen, cops and postal workers. As the right works up their base to actually cheer for the death penalty and boo a soldier because he is gay. As social security is painted as a lie. As corporations lay off thousands and CEOs rake in record profits…..the right’s base defends them. Defends the corporation and demonizes cops and teachers? How in the hell did this happen. How did a group of people who once slammed the President for not supporting the troops by wearing a flag pin on his lapel all of a sudden feel cozy and secure to jeer a soldier serving in Iraq? As all of those are going down, the progressives still fail to connect with a public who is stretched financially to the max and on the brink of a mental breakdown. How does this happen?
Well, it is easy. The right gives talking points. They echo chamber the shit out of them. They spend one minute cherry picking facts that support their agenda and spend the next 59 minutes hammering the talking points home. Repeating them.”Job creators this….risk takers that” “Fight them there,so we don’t have to fight them here” “Jobs are leaving because of taxes” ” Unions are killing this country…Union thug this…union thug that” And so on and so on. They will pick a small handful of things to work the base up into a frenzy so the base will then spread the word and do all the work for them. It is basic. It is easy. They play offense and ignore completely the defense. Reason being…the defense is non existent. For if they laid out all the facts it would disprove their agenda.
Now what the left does, what the left does is much different. The left is very cerebral. The left likes to see a problem and pick it apart.Never going on the offense. Never trying to get the public on their side. Rather they run around like educated meth heads. From one topic to the next. Always trying to inform and be rational. Problem is, that only appeals to their base. The general public can not and will not sit through a fact-finding mission. The public can only deal with quick hits. Small nuggets of information and things they can relate to. The public can not sit through a whole disertion of how our foreign policy is the root of all our wars, etc etc. The public wants something they can relate to and stew over. The public likes to watch offense. Not defense. The public can’t see they have skin in the game when you bore the shit out of them with too many facts. The key is to grab their attention…then drop the knowledge. The left does half of this. The facts are all their to back up what they are saying. Problem is most tune out. Most are zoning out. If you can not grab their attention qucikly…they are moving on.
Now the way I always approach the right wing is like this: It is in two parts. Why are they doing this? Why are they getting away with doing this? Now I have said in the past that it all goes back to the unions. All of it.Then I get accused of only thinking that way because I am a union member. That is bullshit. For anyone to not see the connection between what is going on now and unions is either kidding themselves or just stupid. If the left would only see it all goes back to unions and actually attempt to save them and galvanize the base and others…the fight would be over. But they seem to not get it or not really care. It has to be one or the other. Perhaps a combination of both? Maybe.
When did the draft end. In the early 70′s. When did the attack on unions begin? Early 80′s. Why would the attack on unions begin in the 80′s? Simple. It was a time when corporations were really starting to get their hooks in this country. When deregulation was just starting. When Wall Street and the military industrial complex really took off. So what is the unions connection to this? First thing is unions protect workers rights and make it so they have a voice. Makes it so a group of employees making middle class wages can stand up to a billion dollar corporation. The unions ensure that the employees come first. Safety. Health. Safety, health and security before the mighty bidding of the corporation. Unions choose people over profits. Because in the long run, profits over people is not sustainable. It is for the very rich and powerful. They will always be paid. But the workers. The customers. All expendable. On the other hand, people over profits is beneficially really for everyone. All parties involved.Very sustainable. Because if employees across the board have good paying jobs and security, they will then have the means to buy other products. The middle class will thrive. The economy will thrive. But if the economy thrives it is not good for all. It is not good for corporations real agenda. It is not good for Wall Street either. Or the military industrial complex. If people have well paying jobs why would they have the need to stretch themselves to the breaking point with constant loans. If households were making enough from a single 40 hour work week income that would mean one parent would be home to check up on the kids. Make sure the home work was finished. Ensure that the PUBLIC schools were strong because who would complain about their tax dollars funding good schools. If everyone had a secure, well paying job, why would anyone enlist in armed services. Now granted, some would. But numbers also show that a majority enlist now for school grants or lack of employment opportunities.
So it does go back to unions.Jobs are easily outsourced and cut when no union presence. Fact. When jobs are scarce and no opportunity for a stable future….people will do the following: Take out loans in hopes things get better. Enlist in the armed services. Take what ever they can get and just be happy they have a job…even if it is a low paying job with no benefits and dangerous conditions. Or they will turn to crime. All things that will feed the right-wing agenda. Banks and Wall Street. Military Industrial complex and a terrible foreign policy. And privatization of all things that once were public. Jails. Police. Fire. Schools. So again I will state: IT ALL GOES BACK TO UNIONS.
Unions are the last defense. The only thing out there that can have the guy making minimum wage stand shoulder to shoulder with the teacher, the fireman, the police officer, the construction worker, the truck driver…the only thing that can make all these people have a voice so loud that it will drown out the noise that corporations and the military industrial complex makes. However that voice has never been so faint. So faint that it will make the masses turn on themselves. Not in class warfare. Rather in class cannibalism. With out unions all of what I have said will come to fruition. The corporations will continue to plunder and outsource. Continue to under pay and over work their employees. The Banks will continue to gouge the middle class with high interest loans and penalties. Wall Street will continue to gamble with retirements and create more bubbles. The military industrial complex will be ensured a healthy crop of willing soldiers to do the bidding of the failed foreign policies. All of this will happen if the unions are destroyed.
Mitch McConnell says no debt ceiling raised unless cuts are made to the breaks on old people’s wheel chairs….err, I mean cuts to Medicare. Same thing! Mitch You suck

I do not get it. I grow frustrated. Tuesday we had a vote to end subsidies…mind you some subsidies for the biggest of the big oil companies. Billions in tax payer money, that goes to corporations who make hundreds of billions. It just doesn’t seem right. How did that vote go? Not good if you believe in the free market. If you’re a corporate welfare queen loving, big government guy, well then you loved it. Bill Defeated
Now mind you, this bill would have saved the tax payers 20 billion dollars and that 20 billion would have been used to pay down the deficit. Is that not what you want to do? Didn’t we just spend like months bitching about NPR and Planned Parenthood? What is the ratio between the three again? Oh yeah, NPR gets 5 million in subsidies, Planned Parenthood gets 363 million, and the Big Oil subsidies are 4 billion. So why would one group fight tooth and nail to pay down the deficit by trying to get rid of 368 million…when it had all the help it needed to make those “tough decisions” and “have an adult talk” and take 20 billion off the deficit. I wonder what it is? Could it be that this has a part in it?
I can hear the people now. I can hear them calling this a tax hike. Yeah, that is what it is. If you’re an idiot. Let me explain how this works people. In real simple terms. Sorry, but that’s all I deal in….
If Jack sells an apple to Jill for 2 dollars, then decides the next week to give it to her for 1 dollar for the next couple dozen or so decades, while still selling those same apples to everyone else for 2 dollars, it pretty much means Jill is sleeping with Jack. This has worked out fine for the first couple decades. But times are tough for Jack now. After all, revenue not collected is revenue lost.
Now if Jack is not making as much money as he used to because he has found a couple more “Jills” to give this “tax break” to and the “Jills” have a huge appetite for apples. What should Jack do? Should he make the “Jills” pay what everyone else is paying? Or should Jack just decide to pay his cashier who is a mother with two kids and has a husband with cancer, a little less money. Maybe even fire her. Okay. I got it. Jack should cut back her hours to less than 40 hours so he doesn’t have to pay for her health care insurance….and cut her pay. After all, she has to share the pain doesn’t she?
Speaking of produce, does this mean that the farm subsidies are set in stone? Untouchable? Mr. Small Government Rand Paul was all for Big Government the other day when it came to Big Oil. Very un-Tea Party of him. First off, let’s hear Rand Paul’s stance on ending oil subsidies to corporations that have pocketed over 32 billion in profits so far this year. This clip I pulled from Stand Up With Pete Dominick. In this clip, Pete will reference a tweet of mine. If you followed my twitter feed, you would know why Pete couldn’t read it on air. Anyway, notice the point Pete makes at the end. How he quickly explains how taking away the subsidies will have no effect on the price of gas. Let us also be honest, speculators play the biggest part in the higher prices. If we wanted gas prices to drop, we surely wouldn’t want to do this. Enough with my rant. Here is the Rand Paul audio.
So we heard that. Now listen to his take on farm subsidies back before he was elected. Notice the number he uses. Notice the dollar amount he uses. Then see how much oil companies are making. What is wrong with this picture? Here is the audio…
So what is it going to be? How long are we going to sit and be played? I am going to be a Tea Party member for a minute here. I am going to scream out, “I WANT MY COUNTRY BACK!” Only difference is, I want it back from the corporations. Not some imaginary “socialism” or “communism” or “Sharia Law”. I want it back from corporations. The ones pulling the strings on both parties. Both parties are under their spell. It just seems every once in a while one snaps out…while the other keeps on doing their bidding without batting an eyelash.
Chris Christie just loves to talk tough. Loves to tell people it is all about the tough decisions. Loves to demonize teachers and the unions. He also loves handing out the corporate welfare. I knew he was going to be all about the corporate welfare. All the GOP who come out blasting fiscal this and fiscal that always do the same thing: They take money away from the middle class and give it to corporations. I talked about it back in January. Here. Well, here is proving me right. 400 million dollars in tax payer money going to a business
